3 Ways to Know You’ve Found the Right Ayahuasca Healing Center

Do you really want to change your life? Ayahuasca is one of many ways. Some people are lured by the exotic nature of the jungle. Others go into the Amazon because no one else in their circle of friends has been brave enough to test Ayahuasca’s reputation. Some people want to try it to check off their bucket list. None of these are great reasons to go to a healing center and drink this potent medicine. If you have better reasons than the ones I’ve mentioned, like you really want to know who you are and what you came to this planet to do, then Ayahuasca might be for you. But, where to go? I’ve had some experience in the not-so-good places to go on my search for a healing center that is honest, caring, and has a shaman that won’t put me under a spell!

Here are three things to look for when selecting the healing center that will be the womb and incubation of the great change you are about to embark upon.

  1. The center is upfront about the price and costs of your stay with them. At no point, should they be asking for more money if you have both agree to a set amount of time and what you will be doing while you are there. The shaman should never ask you for money. The agreement is between the shaman and the center itself. And, never between you and the shaman.
  2. Once you’ve perused the internet and narrowed down your search, make sure you sit with your decision at least one week. Let all the thoughts, questions and doubts surface. Read reviews. If you want to know something specific, email the center and see how they respond to you. If they are direct, straight forward and transparent that is a good sign.
  3. Trust your gut. Don’t listen to other people’s opinions if it contradicts the feeling in your belly. One center might be great for one person and that same center might be terrible for you. If you begin having dreams regarding your decision, pay attention, they are probably telling you something you need to know.

Ultimately, you are your own best judge. Don’t choose a center because it is less expensive than another center. Don’t choose a center because they have a super webpage. Choose one that feels right. And, never make a hasty decision. Give yourself space and time for your gut to tell you what is right for you.
